Mike is proud of being a lifelong Kansan. Born in Bonner Springs, a graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest High School, he and his wife, Kristi live in Olathe with their three youngest children, Sally the dog and Sasha the cat.
Years ago, Mike, a developer and business man, decided to begin attending county commission meetings regularly. The more he learned the more his desire to serve his community grew. Mike is committed to be present, prepared and available to the folks and corporate citizens of the 6th District to provide them a voice and an advocate at the Board of County Commissioners.
Mike is specifically interested in capitalizing on opportunities of economic development as a valuable tool to encourage growth in our county. Growth will spread the tax base and increase revenues to supply increasingly better services without raising taxes. Controlling spending while keeping Johnson County one of the best places in the US to live is a matter of fiscal responsibility. Mike can be counted on to protect your hard earned money.
Mike Brown is an insightful, forward thinking, strategic businessman with strong family values, integrity, and the kind of character you pray you have instilled in your children. - Kala Cadwell, Olathe
